Vijoint® hcc is a medical device in a form of intraarticular injection containing hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate and cyclodextrin. | Hyaluronic acid is a constitutive element of the joint that creates a highly elastic layer on the surface of the joint. Hyaluronic acid in the product Vijoint® hcc is of average molecular mass of 3500 kDa and of biofermentation origin (it does not contain animal proteins that can cause allergic reactions). Hyaluronic acid is naturally contained in majority of human tissues, especially in synovial fluid, acting on joints, cartilage and ligaments as a shock absorber. Injected into the joint in osteoarthritis, it restores the viscosity and elasticity of synovial fluid, which leads to a reduction in pain and inflammation in the joint, increases mobility, slows the progression of the disease and protects the joint from further mechanical injuries. |

| Chondroitin sulfate is a structural component of articular cartilage. Its action provides additional elasticity and resistance of cartilage to mechanical compression. Regulating the metabolic processes, it slows down the progression of osteoarthritis and accelerates the recovery. |

| Cyclodextrin increases solubility and stability of hyaluronic acid in water and delays the breakdown of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate in the joint. Presence of cyclodextrin in the product contributes to stability of components without the need for adding organic solvents that can cause allergic reactions. |
Method of use:
Intraarticular injection implantation.
Note: Vijoint® hcc should only be used by healthcare professionals trained for injecting the product in joints, i.e. in the synovial space of the joint.
Dosage: After one intra-articular injection, the doctor may indicate another dose after 6 months, depending on the patient’s condition.
